Why would I choose InterFAX over any other company for my business faxing?
A. InterFAX uses ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) lines and not ‘Fax Over Internet Protocol’ (FOIP) technology. ISDN is widely used for professional audio and broadcast applications where digital clarity with integrated telephone/fax services is specifically required.
This ensures high quality, speed and reliability, essential for any business. FOIP may be cheaper but may not always offer the same level of reliability as ISDN, therefore not always the most suitable product for businesses.

Why did my fax take longer and cost more to send than what my effective per page rate?
A. Faxes are calculated on time per page. Most standard faxes should take no longer than 60 seconds to send. Anything transmitted at 60 seconds or less is charged as 1 unit. If a document has any of the following inclusions, this may contribute to your fax taking longer to send:
- Detailed shading or COLOUR.
- Watermarks
- Large images
- Dark borders
- The document has been scanned
When sending a fax, the system will transmit every pixel to paper. If there are large amounts of pixels to transmit, this will affect the time it takes to convert to paper and this may ultimately cause your fax to cost more.

What happens when my credits run out?
A. When your credit balance is running low, you will receive an email at 80% usage, 95% usage and another when your account is empty. You may also receive a phone call stating that your account has been depleted of credits. It is then up to you whether you wish to top up your account. If you have a fax pending credits, your fax will remain on hold for 24 hours in which you have this time to top up your account. If you add credits during the 24 hour period, your pending fax will then begin to send. Failure to add credits within this time will result in the fax timing out.
