Important Updates to InterFAX
Microsoft Office Activation
We have made a few changes to the MS Office Activation procedure for our InterFAX service:
• The ActiveX add-on is no longer supported. Now in order to activate MS Office for use with InterFAX you download the registry update file regardless of which version of Windows or web browser you are using.
• Activation and deactivation are carried out from one screen making the procedure easier to follow.
• MS Office activation now supports MS Office versions 2003, 2007 and 2010.
• You can also carry out activation from any internet browser.
Another alternative to the InterFAX Office activation function is to either “Send as Attachment” or “Send as PDF”. Neither of these requires 'activation' and are a quick easy way to send faxes directly from Office applications.
In all Microsoft Office 2010 programs this option is available from the “File” menu and then “Save & Send” option. In Office 2007 it is under “Send”. Both options will use your email client to send the file and you simply add the recipient in the “TO” field of the email. E.g. 0740513399@fax.tc or 1300764413@fax.tc and click “send”.
Macros in MS Office documents... Important changes from April 24 2011 MS Office files that contain macros are officially not accepted by InterFAX, however there have some instances where this has been possible. In order to tighten security in the system, we intend to close this loophole and prevent the processing of any MS Office files that contain macros. This policy will be strictly enforced from April 24 2011. Contact us if you require any further details.
Video training for New Faxem Email 'Conditional Content' feature
As announced in last month's Faxem email newsletter, we launched a new feature to Faxem Email- Conditional Content.
Conditional Content is an intelligent form of email marketing, where email content can be hidden or displayed based on the profile of the recipient.
To demonstrate how this feature works we have released audio and visual training.
On June 1st 2010, the Australian Government amended the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 to allow Australian fax numbers to be entered, as part of this change businesses who send fax marketing must now 'wash' their list against the Do Not Call Register every 30 days prior to sending.
We have found that some businesses would prefer to not manage this process, and as a result Faxem now offer a Fax List Wash Service. As your service provider we will manage this wash service via the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Telemarketer Access Portal.
Service charges will apply depending on the records required for 'washing'. Contact us for a quote
